The Neptune Theatre

, , , , ,

After its relatively new revamp, The Neptune Theater has positioned itself as a heavy hitter on the local music scene. Now counting itself among the likes of the Showbox, Crocodile, the Moore and Paramount, the Neptune can book with the best of them – and is.

Over the last year-plus, the Neptune has added richness to the local musical landscape via its vaulted ceilings, circa 1921’s swagger, and crowd pleasing  line-ups.

Evoking nostalgic charm, the Neptune got its start during the silent film era and it wasn’t until January of this last year that it changed from a single screen movie house to its current manifestation.

Threatened with re-purposing, the Neptune luckily got absorbed by the Seattle Theater Group, who made sure that it not only still screens films (now mainly of the cult classic and indie persuasion), but also kicks-out multi-media art performances, educational programs and concerts.

We are happy to be neighbors with such a historic venue and can’t wait to catch their next show.

Remember that we will keep you posted via our blog and website on all of Neptune’s most popular events and our accompanying drink specials either pre and/or post festivities.
